Crazy to think that 2019 is quickly coming to an end! As excited as I am for 2020 I have to take the time to reflect on how amazing 2019 was. Along with life’s highs & lows, I was blessed to experience some amazing trips this year with some amazing people!

January-for the first time I’m ever, I traveled for NYE & brought in the new year in Toronto, Canada with my hubby & friends. We rented an AirBNB (first) & although we barely made it in or out the country we had way too many laughs! HERE

Shortly after, I celebrated my bff’s 40th Birthday in Cabo San Lucas! We lounged, loved & laughed at the RIU resort, took a boat ride to lovers arch & went on a camel ride! It was a short weekend for me as once I’m back to work I am only allowed weekends except for the school breaks, none the less it was a great time. HERE

In February , the mini and I went skiing and tubing with friends (another first) and had too much fun! I hurt myself pretty bad but other than that we had so much fun and can’t wait to try it again next year! HERE

March was my 1st BIG Trip of the year! I celebrated a late birthday & an early 11 year wedding anniversary in Italy! We visited Rome, Naples (favorite), Amalfi Coast including Sorento, Positano & Ravello! HERE

In May, with the kids cheer season wrapping up she & her teammates won a bid to the Nationals which is held in Orlando, Florida at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. We visited Clearwater Beach, Magic Kingdom & Universal’s Volcano Bay! HERE

In June came HAWAII for our family vacay! Southwest had an amazing sale and we snagged a few $49 flight from Oakland and had by far the best vacation ever! It was a first for all of us & such a very special trip! My mom passed Jan 2018 & we had plans to celebrate her 60th birthday in Hawaii that July but didn’t make it! I forgot to take along some of her ashes as she clearly asked me to spread a little bit of her wherever I went and I felt so bad! HERE

Over the July 4th holiday my hubby and I spent a long weekend in Austin, Texas (another first) with my cousins and friends for my cousin’s birthday celebration! Second to Hawaii it was definitely my favorite summer memory! We had so much fun! We ate, drank, partied on 6th St, pool partied, boat partied and river partied! I had way too much fun and honestly didn’t want it to end! HERE

A week later my mini and I headed south on a road trip to meet for a family reunion in Atlanta, Georgia. We visited the Coca Cola Factory and took a Black History Tour which was very informative and enjoying! Of course reconnecting with family was the highlight! On the way back we stopped at Ruby Falls and lookout Point which unfortunately in my opinion could have been skipped. HERE

Cuba in August was hot to say the least! Last minute I texted my girls friends, “Weekend in Havana?” And to my surprise two booked that that day and shortly after we were out! HERE

In September I booked, air/hotel and even a photo shoot for long weekend in Las Vegas but I end up chickening out. I’m still not sure if its b/c I have’t been to Vegas since cleaning out my moms storage after her death or that I maybe wasn’t ready for a solo trip, especially not to Vegas where I’d have too much time to reminisce about my mom. I don’t know.
October brought about a weekend in Chicago with family and then Xiamen, China and Bali, Indonesia! This as well was an amazing experience! I have never traveled so far and honestly I was so grateful for this trip! I wish it was closer b/c this is one place that I would love to return to with my daughter. HERE

Now its November and except for visiting family at Christmas & fingers crossed for some NYE fun, my travels have come to an end. This is when I begin to plan for summer and save so my family and I can enjoy and experience as much as possible all over again.
As always, thanks for traveling along.
XoXo, Tracy

Thank you!! They were definitely a hit!! They are from Forever 21!!
What a year! Your Perfect North picture made me laugh because of my own experience there. My family of four went (my kids are teens) and we went down the tubes in a “chain” where we were all holding onto each other. I guess the combined weight of 4 grown people was too much because we had so much momentum when we got to the bottom that we went through the gravel and my daughter went OVER the barrier! My second daughter ended up on TOP of the barrier. And my husband and I were behind it. It happened so fast that I screamed “OMG! We killed Jillian!!!!” before I was able to get to her and find her laughing so hard. It was certainly a family moment!!
