Hello México!
This has been quite a year of travel for me! It’s June & I’ve already been to Vegas twice, Paris, Bahamas, Disney World, DC, Columbus, Rosemont and now Mexico twice!
Back in April we went to Secrets Akumal for our 10 year Anniversary. We got quite a bit of points via Delta Airlines and we were able to book one of our ways for free and only paid $275 for my daughters flight r/t and direct from Indianapolis.
I was very torn between Riu and Dreams. I’ve stayed at Riu Resorts twice and wasn’t that pleased that the pool closed at 6pm. Since we were taking our daughter I knew that wouldn’t be a good idea, but the price was significantly lower. Dreams is a sister resort of Secrets which is super nice and they wait on you hand and foot! 24 hour room service and your rooms mini bar and snacks are restocked daily! I also like that our room had a personal plunge pool and jacuzzi. At the last minute I canceled Riu and booked Dreams at a great price!
Upon arrival at the resort, Dreams Riviera Cancun we were offered to view a timeshare presentation at the Now Sapphire over breakfast. Usually we’d decline but what’s not to love about funny money! After the 90 minute presentation over breakfast we were given $350 in funny money which we used for our excursion at the Xcaret where we swam with the dolphins and the sharks, had lunch, enjoyed the beach, aquarium, pet stingrays, and other family friendly activities.
During our 5 day, 4 night family vacay Taylen met a friend from London and we were invited to Xplor with their family. The girls were pretty much joined at the hip, texting, making videos, eating together and of course planning future trips to meet up! At Xplor we zip lined, drove 4 wheeler buggy style cars, swam through underground caves (cenote) and had dinner. It was our favorite of the two parks! 
Hubby & daughter swam with the dolphins, daughter & I swam with the sharks so that way we’d have a spare person to take pics! This is the only pic my hubby got of Tay & I swimming with the sharks 😩
