I always say I don’t like returning to the same place twice, but maybe I don’t mind so much anymore. At this point I’m in a new space that allows me to travel somewhat freely based on availability. Last week/spring break week, Honolulu had availability so we went!
The first time we went to Oahu, Hawaii… Ko Olina to be specific we stayed no where near Waikiki Beach! We enjoyed ourselves more than ever as a family away from the busy city area of Honolulu. HERE
This time it was just the kid & I and we booked the day of found a cute/clean boutique hotel right in the center of the city near the beach, many shops & a variety of restaurants. It was random but I’d do it all 100x’s over just to enjoy quality time with my favorite girl!
Teens are being raised in a different time right now! They have experienced a shutdown & social media is at an all time high right now! Make time for your kids, spend time with your kids! Whether it’s a destination vacay, a day at the park or an hour at lunch, make it count! The kid isn’t into pics much so I didn’t overwhelm her or attempt to create content or make her participate! I let her do her! She lounged, slept in, stayed up late, ate McDonald’s, enjoyed the beach, went shopping & did nothing when she choose!
My advice to teen parents, life is short! Make memories that can last you a lifetime!
