Previously stated, 2018 has been a year of many first for myself & my family! The beautiful photo above of Lake Michigan was taken by me today 7/11/18 at Indiana Dunes National Park & Beach. Crazy that I’ve been in Indiana most of my life and I’ve never been here! My family & I were super impressed with how clear the water was, no rocks and beautiful tan sand. The water was cold but not freezing! More so refreshing. It’s only a 2 hour drive from Indianapolis with an hr time difference so definitely enough time to enjoy as a day trip! There are few amenities so you have to make sure to pack chairs, blankets, towels, lunch, sunscreen, a cooler & whatever else you may need. Basically the park has rest rooms, lockers, a food truck & a gift vendor stand. We spent the bulk of our day in the water as the weather was perfect for a day.
